What this size is for
Wear OS is the one place where the usual screenshot craft is forbidden. Google requires screenshots that show only the app interface — no device frames, no added text, no graphics or backgrounds that are not part of the app.
Transparent backgrounds and masking are also disallowed, so export a flat square: Play applies the circular crop itself.
Design inside the inscribed circle. Anything in the corners of your 384 × 384 canvas is cropped away on a round watch face.
Will this file work on the App Store?
No. Apple does not accept arbitrary dimensions: every App Store slot has an exact list of accepted sizes, and 384 × 384 px is not on any of them. If you are shipping to both stores, build the design once and export each store's canvas separately.
Design at 384 × 384 without doing the maths
Open the editor with the canvas already set to 384 × 384, drop your app screens into a device frame, and export the whole set — watermark-free on the free plan.
