Google Play screenshot requirements

Updated July 17, 2026 2 min read

Google Play is more flexible than the App Store on dimensions but strict about counts, aspect ratio and the required feature graphic. Miss any of these and Play Console blocks publishing. Here is the full checklist for 2026.

The feature graphic is mandatory and rejected if it is the wrong size or has transparency.
The #1 rejection cause: uploading a feature graphic that isn’t exactly 1024×500, or a screenshot/feature graphic that still has an alpha channel. Flatten to RGB before you upload.
