What this size is for
Play does not mandate an exact tablet dimension — it asks for large-screen screenshots between 1080 and 7680 px, ideally 9:16 or 16:9, with at least four of them.
1600 × 2560 is the portrait tablet canvas most tools ship, and it is comfortably compliant: at 1.6:1 it is well inside the 2:1 cap, though it is squarer than Google’s recommended 9:16.
Large-screen slots are the cheapest ranking work in the Play Console — most listings leave them empty, and Play surfaces large-screen-ready apps differently on tablets and Chromebooks.
Will this file work on the App Store?
No. Apple does not accept arbitrary dimensions: every App Store slot has an exact list of accepted sizes, and 1600 × 2560 px is not on any of them. If you are shipping to both stores, build the design once and export each store's canvas separately.
