Is AppMockUp really free?

Yes. AppMockUp Studio is a free browser tool, it does not require an account, and it does not watermark exports. For making App Store and Play screenshots and nothing else, that is very hard to beat on price.

Then why would I pay for Edok Studio?

Because screenshots are one of four things a submission needs. Edok Studio also drafts and translates your listing copy, generates and hosts your privacy policy and terms at a permanent URL, and publishes an app landing page. If you already have those covered, AppMockUp may be all you need.

Which has better device frames?

Both offer photoreal frames for current devices. AppMockUp has strong background tooling — mesh gradients, patterns, panoramic backgrounds. Edok Studio has flat and 3D angles including in-hand poses, and shapes the frame to your screenshot’s aspect so nothing is cropped.

Does AppMockUp handle localisation?

It is free, with no account. Open it and work. No sign-up, no project cap, no plan to compare. For a developer who needs one set of screenshots this week, that is the shortest path that exists.

Be aware of the free plan’s real limit: three screenshots per set. Apple accepts up to ten and Google recommends at least four, so the free plan is enough to ship a minimal listing and try the workflow — not to produce a full set. That is the honest trade for exporting without a watermark.
