What this size is for
Mac is the simplest table Apple publishes: one class, four sizes, all 16:10 — 1280 × 800, 1440 × 900, 2560 × 1600 and 2880 × 1800.
There is no scaling chain and no fallback class. If you ship a Mac app you upload a Mac set, and this is the largest and sharpest option.
It is landscape, which changes the design problem entirely: a Mac screenshot usually shows a window in context rather than a phone-shaped device frame.
Will this file work on Google Play?
At 1.60 : 1 this canvas is inside Google Play's hard rule that no side may be more than twice the other, and inside its 320–3840 px bounds — so it uploads. Play still names 1080 × 1920 as the portrait size that makes a listing eligible for the placements where it recommends apps using screenshots, so treat this as a fallback rather than a plan.
Design at 2880 × 1800 without doing the maths
Open the editor with the canvas already set to 2880 × 1800, drop your app screens into a device frame, and export the whole set — watermark-free on the free plan.

The App Store accepts more than one exact dimension here. Any of them uploads to the same slot — only one set is stored.
