What this size is for
The floor of the Mac class, and a perfectly valid submission — Apple accepts it exactly as it accepts 2880 × 1800.
It is a sensible working size for a mockup you will scale up later, and a poor final size for a listing that will be viewed on Retina displays, where it is doubled.
If you have the artwork at any resolution, export the 2880 × 1800 version too; the store shows whichever you upload.
Will this file work on Google Play?
At 1.60 : 1 this canvas is inside Google Play's hard rule that no side may be more than twice the other, and inside its 320–3840 px bounds — so it uploads. Play still names 1080 × 1920 as the portrait size that makes a listing eligible for the placements where it recommends apps using screenshots, so treat this as a fallback rather than a plan.
Design at 1280 × 800 without doing the maths
Open the editor with the canvas already set to 1280 × 800, drop your app screens into a device frame, and export the whole set — watermark-free on the free plan.

The App Store accepts more than one exact dimension here. Any of them uploads to the same slot — only one set is stored.
