What this size is for
tvOS is the only Apple platform whose screenshots are natively landscape 16:9, and the class accepts just two sizes: 1920 × 1080 and 3840 × 2160.
Apple TV screenshots are shown on a television across a room, which is the real design constraint — type that reads on a phone at arm’s length is unreadable at three metres.
One large idea per frame, high contrast, and no small print.
Will this file work on Google Play?
At 1.78 : 1 this canvas is inside Google Play's hard rule that no side may be more than twice the other, and inside its 320–3840 px bounds — so it uploads. Play still names 1080 × 1920 as the portrait size that makes a listing eligible for the placements where it recommends apps using screenshots, so treat this as a fallback rather than a plan.
Design at 1920 × 1080 without doing the maths
Open the editor with the canvas already set to 1920 × 1080, drop your app screens into a device frame, and export the whole set — watermark-free on the free plan.
